Bangkok Weekend Day 2

So Sunday was more laid back. Checked out of our hotel fairly early and headed to Starbucks for breakfast. A cinnamon roll and mocha frap later, we set off to check out Terminal 21 (the cool mall we visited briefly the night prior). Each floor has a different theme, specifically a different city/country. Floor 1 is Rome. Floor 2 is Paris, Floor 3 is London, Floor 4 is San Francisco, Floor 5 is Tokyo, and Floor 6 is Instabul. There is small top floor for Hollywood.

And you know we had to take our picture in front of a cable car! Ha ha! It was a really cool mall and we even found some pretty tasty ice cream (I had the Thai Iced Tea flavor, and Brian had vodka redbull).

We then headed out in search of the red light district. Along the way it started raining, of course. There were street vendors all up and down Sukhumvit and we ended up buying some things for cheap.

Stopped and had lunch at the Fairmont. It was ok. WAY overpriced. Walked back towards our hotel and kept going east for awhile. Turns out that the FourSquare directions were wrong all along, so we never found the red light district. Instead, we boarded the skytrain and headed back to the LRT to get the express train back to the airport.

Our flight was delayed an hour and 45 minutes which was not swell, but we found some dried jackfruit to hold us over. Got back incredibly late (1am) and passed out.

Thailand was awesome. WAY cheaper than I thought. Had a great time and I definitely want to go back to see Phuket or Krabi (the purty beaches).
